APOSTOLIC NUNCIO'S MESSAGE FOR THE ARMA CHRISTI ARRIVAL TO THE PHILIPPINES
MESSAGE OF HIS EXCELLENCY ON THE OCCASION OF THE 1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARRIVAL OF THE ARMA CHRISTI TO THE PHILIPPINES - 06 FEBRUARY 2013
APOSTOLIC NUNCIATURE .
MESSAGE
It is my pleasure to greet the members of the Work of the Saints Apostolate, as they celebrate the 1st Anniversary of the arrival of the Arma Christ Reliquary in the Country on February 6, 2013.Their mission of making known the lives of saints through the
veneration of holy relics is a fitting contribution to the work of New Evangelization encouraged by the Holy Father. The Year of Faith is truly a good opportunity to be reminded of the many persons who, across the centuries, strived to follow the footsteps of Christ and lived saintly and heroic lives.
"By faith, the martyrs gave their lives, bearing witness to the truth of the Gospel that had transformed them and made them capable of attaining to the greatest gift of love: the forgiveness of their persecutors.
By faith, men and women have consecrated their lives to Christ, leaving all things behind so as to live obedience, poverty and chastity with Gospel simplicity, concrete signs of waiting for the Lord who comes without delay. By faith, countless Christians have promoted action for justice so as to put into practice the word of the Lord, who came to proclaim deliverance from oppression and a year of favor for all" (Porta Fidei, 13).
Commending you to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may you also strive to live in holiness.
In the name of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, I bless you.

Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines

THE ARMA CHRISTI RELIQUARY APOSTOLATE IS FOR LIFE...
A personal and family made poster inspired by the talk of ARCHBISHOP LUIS ANTONIO TAGLE of Manila during his inspirational speech at the PRAYER RALLY at the EDSA SHRINE in Ortigas :

The line "Noong isilang ka sa mundong ito..." (When you were born in this world...) - culled from the popular song entitled "ANAK" (Child) - by composer / singer - MR. FREDDIE AGUILAR and the that of the play of words by the inspiring Archbishop of Manila that reiterates the VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE and the MAIN STRENGTH of Filipino culture: FAMILY.

MESSAGE OF THE AUXILIARY BISHOP OF MANILA FOR THE 2012 ARMA CHRISTI RELICS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MESSAGE
“Today if you hear the voice of the Lord, harden not your hearts” (Ps. 95:8)
This season of Lent is a grace-filled period for the followers of Jesus. A time wherein we look deeply into our Christian Faith and Life. More than any time of the year we devote time to prayer, recollection, celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation (going to confession), and sharing our time, talent and treasure to those who are least and last of our community.
The voice of the Lord is loudly heard through the devotion and prayer of the Stations of the Cross. It cannot but move the heart of each one of us to the immense love of the Son of God. How much more it can arouse our attention since it is the Arma Christi Reliquary, a special reliquary containing rare relics associated with the Passion of our Lord. And added blessing is the life-sized replica of the Holy Shroud.
We cannot but comment The Arma Christi Relics Tour 2012. We pray that many faithful will be transformed by this tour of Arma Christi Relics into knowing Jesus more clearly, loving Jesus more dearly, and following Jesus more closely.
In Jesus our Lord and Savior,
+MOST REV. BERNARDINO C. CORTEZ, DD
Auxiliary Bishop of Manila

2) The Tour is SUPPORTED by the different officials in the Catholic Church contrary to the rumors of some people
3) The Tour is SELF SUPPORTED by the team that brought the relics. It is IMPRUDENT, CALUMNIOUS and ERRONEOUS to say otherwise.
4) The Tour NEVER SOLICITED FROM ANYONE NOR HAS EVER WRITTEN A LETTER OF SOLICITATION for support for the relics although it accepts voluntary offerings.
4) If anyone receives information contrary to those herein, it is a fruit of lie and a work of the devil.
